The Edgewood-Kirkwood, Atlanta Chapter is sponsoring a Bastille Day Spectacular Tossing Event on Saturday, July 14th. Festivities begin at 4 pm at the Montgomery Street Tossing Grounds; players and spectators are reminded to bring plenty of liquids to battle the summer heat and humidity.

Frank Schultz survived a shaky first round match and continued on to win the 3rd Annual Jeff Gates Memorial Tournament on August 7th. Frank put on a bucket-rattling display in the final, defeating newcomer George Coe 50-23.

Nookie

(noun) - On a fully-marked court, the nookies are the triangular areas on either side of the respective Tossing Boxes that are used for ball storage, players' beverages, hand towels and other accessories. The judge's announcement "The Balls are in the Nookies!" prior to the start of a case indicates the field of play is ready for action and that players should take their positions on the court.
