The Boccelism Community will come together Sunday, August 3rd, to remember our friend Jeff Gates and raise money for his young daughter with a benefit tournament at Atlanta’s Montgomery Street Tossing Grounds. Players in this team round-robin event should get to the grounds by 3 PM, with balls in the air scheduled for 3:30.

A raffle will be held featuring various boccelism merchandise, including a complete Official Boccelism(™ pending) Set, as well as gift certificates to watering holes such as the famed Euclid Avenue Yacht Club. While supplies last, Official Boccelism caps and T-shirts will be available to anyone making a direct donation of $20 or more.

Another fun way to contribute is by making a Points Pledge, donating an amount for each point scored in the tournament. This is an ideal way for anyone who is unable to attend the tournament to be able to participate in the event. To make a pledge or to get more information about the Gates Memorial Tournament, contact steve@boccelism.com.

Frank Schultz survived a shaky first round match and continued on to win the 3rd Annual Jeff Gates Memorial Tournament on August 7th. Frank put on a bucket-rattling display in the final, defeating newcomer George Coe 50-23.
